Tyler Wanke, MD, MBA, MEM likes to joke about his mother’s disappointment when he decided to take a leave of absence part way through school at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University, and, with $5K, start a medical device company.

He’s proven his mettle since, however. In the course of a short career, he has merged interests in neuroscience, business and medicine, by founding four companies, serving as co-director of Northwestern University’s NUvention “BioDesign” program, and playing a leading role in executing on the investment strategy for the Wanke Family Office.
