Neuroimaging is the hottest area in ischemic stroke at the moment, as we now know that the process of ischemic stroke is individual. Going forward, it will be increasingly important to develop more patient-specific therapies and to select them on the basis of neuroimaging. We profile RapidAI and Methinks AI, two companies on the cutting edge of neuroimaging for stroke.

Ischemic stroke care is evolving rapidly, thanks to the introduction of endovascular mechanical thrombectomy devices, which have become part of the guidelines for removing clots in patients with large vessel occlusions (LVOs) in the brain. Many patients who have undergone these treatments have gone on to lead successful, disability free lives when just six years ago, there wasn’t much hope for them.
