Spine industry mergers are historically fraught. At the annual meeting of the North American Spine Society (NASS) earlier this fall, the new president of Zimmer Biomet Spine Jim Cloar outlined the steps his organization is taking to rebuild subsequent to the 2015 deal between Zimmer and Biomet, which was followed a year later by the combined company’s acquisition of LDR Holding Inc.
