Clinically and technologically rich, the European medical device world has always struggled raising venture capital, and no one has felt this more than the venture capitalists themselves. For years, deal flow was an issue: finding strong, early-stage companies to invest in wasn’t always easy in a community where physicians were innovative but often scorned turning their ideas into commercially viable products.
