Intuity Medical Sees Untapped Value in Sleepy BGM Space

Intuity Medical hopes to make waves in the diabetes market with its recently launched POGO Automatic blood glucose meter, a unique, all-in-one, automated device designed to bridge the gap between traditional BGMs and continuous glucose monitoring devices.

Most companies developing next-generation devices for diabetes are targeting high-tech/high-growth segments such as continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) or automated insulin delivery. The company hopes to shake up the market for traditional blood glucose meters (BGMs)—a commoditized space that has seen little to no innovation in recent years—with its POGO Automatic blood glucose monitoring system.
