Even though child delivery is twice as expensive to the healthcare system as heart failure, there are no minimally invasive therapies to assist prolonged labor. 3VO Medical aims fills that gap with a device designed to reduce the excessive rates of C-Sections in the US and other countries.

Childbirth is the number one reason for hospital admission, accounting for a tenth of all stays, and even a low-risk delivery can cost $16,000 or more in the United States. Although the World Health Organization estimates that around 15% of births require Cesarean sections, in the US, C-sections account for more than 30% of deliveries.
