An email hit the inboxes for a selection of FDA employees at 5pm on Monday. “You are hereby notified that you are officially separated from HHS at the close of business on July 14, 2025. Thank you for your service to the American People,” it stated.
The message, obtained by Market Pathways, apparently ended government employment for some proportion of staffers, including at the device center, who were put on administrative leave April 1 as part of HHS’ broadscale “reduction in force” (RIF) action. But details the full number of employees who have been officially laid off versus those who have been reinstated since the April 1 action remain ambiguous.
