Bakul Patel Will Lead FDA’s Digital Health Equity Effort

Bakul Patel is relinquishing his role heading up FDA’s Digital Health Center of Excellence to take on a new challenge within CDRH: health equity. He has been named the device center’s first chief digital health officer of global strategy and innovation. The title is a mouthful. But, in a nutshell, Patel explains in an interview, he will be responsible for jump-starting the center’s efforts to leverage digital health to expand healthcare access to all populations.
