See-Mode: Using AI to Predict Recurrent Stroke Risk

After clinicians successfully deal with an acute ischemic stroke, they still face the ongoing challenge of managing a patient facing a high risk of stroke recurrence. See-Mode Technologies is developing AI-enabled software that can detect, on routine ultrasound, CT and MR images, risk factors normally only detectable by advanced imaging modalities.

The care of ischemic stroke has advanced rapidly in the past five years since endovascular clot removing techniques have proven themselves able to save the lives—and the quality of life—of many patients. (See “Ischemic Stroke: The First Pass Effect,” MedTech Strategist, September 13, 2019.)
