Israel remains, per capita, the leading source of global medtech innovation. MTS convened a panel of experts drawn from each important constituency in the Israeli device ecosystem to assess the medtech industry’s challenges and how Israel is evolving in order to maintain its leadership as an innovation hub.
When it comes to medical device innovation, Israel has long been a global outlier—in a positive way. Whereas most countries with viable life science industries are focused primarily on biopharmaceuticals, reflecting, if nothing else, the size disparity between the biopharma and medtech markets, Israel remains the only place where that situation is reversed.
