However, many barriers persist to the routine use of these technologies; chief among them: a continuing lack of adequate reimbursement.
Patient care is undergoing a slow, but radical, shift as a growing number of providers and payors embrace “virtual” care models as a means to drive greater efficiency, increase patient satisfaction and compliance, and, ultimately, improve the bottom line.
