In 2020, the total endoscopy market surpassed $29 billion, with increasing upward trends for the last several years, coincident with a growing incidence of stomach cancer and other gastrointestinal diseases, notably among younger patients. This figure is expected to nearly double by 2027 and includes eight million upper gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopies, the most common endoscopic procedure type following colonoscopy. Population aging, technological advancement, rising incidence of GI disorders, and increased demand for minimally invasive procedures have all been cited as growth factors for this market.
